Dear Workers and Veterans of the Construction Industry,

Dear Workers and Veterans of the Construction Industry,

On behalf of the leadership of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) and personally from me, I extend heartfelt congratulations to you on the occasion of your professional holiday – Builders' Day!

The builders of Yakutia play a strategic role in the life of the republic. In the ranking of regions in the Russian Far East for housing construction, Yakutia holds the second position. In 2022, housing construction amounted to 583.9 thousand square meters, which is 106% of the planned volumes of residential building construction.

It is due to your dedicated efforts that the quality of life for the inhabitants of villages and cities in the republic is improving. Yakutia is implementing the most comprehensive program in the Russian Federation for resettling citizens from dilapidated and emergency housing. In 2022, 25.69 thousand people were resettled from emergency housing, and 1,226 families of privileged categories improved their living conditions. In 2022, the Ministry of Construction of Yakutia completed 45 projects, including 39 projects of social significance. For the people of Yakutia, 11 schools with 2,766 places, 2 kindergartens with 205 places, 11 cultural facilities, 2 healthcare facilities, 11 sports facilities, and 1 social support building were constructed.

It is pleasing to note that this year, the construction industry of Yakutia continues to respond effectively to the challenges of modern realities. By August 1st, builders of the republic had introduced 254.4 thousand square meters of housing. Construction is underway for 123 projects in the region. Many of these projects are intended for our children. For instance, this year witnessed the completion of the construction of schools in the villages of Berdigestyakh in the Gorny Ulus, Argakhtakh in the Srednekolymsky Ulus, Kyundyadya in the Nyurba Ulus, Syrdakh in the Ust-Aldan Ulus, and kindergartens in the villages of Us-Kuyel in the Ust-Aldan Ulus and Kyubeinde in the Viluy Ulus.

Furthermore, builders plan to introduce the Yakut Republican Oncological Dispensary with an advance schedule in 2023 in the capital of the republic. This facility will accommodate 210 visits per shift, have a 180-bed ward, and include a radiology department.

I am confident that all the tasks set before the builders during the Year of Labor will be successfully accomplished. With the approval of master plans for our cities and villages, builders will embark on ambitious projects to create modern and comfortable living conditions for hundreds of thousands of Yakuts.

The profession of a builder in Yakutia instills unique qualities in a person. First and foremost, these include resilience, responsibility, the ability to work in the most challenging conditions of the northern climate, and the highest level of professionalism. All these qualities enable the builders of the republic to execute the most important state programs in the field of construction.

Once again, I extend my warmest congratulations to you on Builders' Day!
